Baltimore Aircoil (BAC) cooling tower


**PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!** DISCLAIMER: I got permission from the security guys at the property to film this cooling tower. I was honestly expecting a big NO from the security department, so imagine my surprise when the man in charge said YES! This video and the video response that shows how it all works offer an amazing glimpse into a rarely seen piece of HVAC equipment. This is the cooling tower at my Grandma's apartment building, that I got permission from security to film! I do not know exactly what this thing is or exactly how it works, but I filmed it because I thought it would make a neat addition to my video collection. If anybody knows exactly what this this thing is or how it works, please don't hesitate to comment! Explanation provided by my friend and fellow YouTuber: "OK, so you know how a regular A/C unit has a fan to pull air through it's condenser coil to cool itself? An air cooled chiller does the same, has a condenser coil, and uses fans to pull air through the condenser coil, to cool the condenser. A water cooled chiller, just like the name implies, uses water to cool the condenser coil. It has two separate water circuits, the condenser water circuit, and the chilled water circuit. The chilled water circuit is the water that flows through the building, through the coils in the air handlers that cools the air, and functions as an A/C.
